My 1st Experience

with the Whole30 Program and Paleo eating

Day 25 - October 1st, 2013

Today was a good day. Energy levels were stable and I didn't get the slumber I had yesterday. My first 2 mels were a bit too small though, which forced me to snack a bit on nuts.

But the cool thing about today was that I got one more person to say he'll do the program with me if I try again after indulging on some cheese and beer on day 31... So now it's 2! Yay! Spreading the word...

Meal 1

Today I accomplished one more egg-less breakfast (maybe tomorrow I'll do some eggs, starting to miss them... ;o)! The concoction today was a kindof taco salad: lettuce, a sort of salsa (tomatoes, green peppers, olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper), guacamole and ground beef. But it was a bit too small, so by 11 I was already hungry. Not too bad, though, could be 10... 11 I can manage.

For my coffee, I tried the Cappricio again, and today I did pay attention. Neh... Not great. Maybe if I brew it with less water it could be better. On the same size I do the others, it felt too watery and weak.

For lunch, I brought a salad from home: lettuce, tomatoes, olives, pepperoncini, kimchi, heart of palms, green peppers, capers and sardines, dressed with mocha dressing.

Meal 3

At night, I had the chuck steak I cooked yesterday. The chuck steak looked really pretty at the shelf, so I decided to try it out. It's a harder cut of meat, so good for braising. I looked for a recipe online and found one that seemed good, and that's what I did. The recipe is of Beef Chuck Steak with Onions and Peppers and it turned out good. The only thing from the original recipe I left out was the cornstarch to make gravy. I left mine liquid was it was. As a side dish, some pan fried asparagus with herbs.

To drink, a slim can of Perrier.
