My 1st Experience

with the Whole30 Program and Paleo eating

Day 9 - September 15th, 2013

Today was a much better day than yesterday. First of I wasn't as irritated and second of all I was able to find food on all places where I ate.

Meal 1

On meal 1, I had my eggs with smoked salmon. Then, separately, I had a small peach.

To drink, plain Livanto coffee.

At my second meal, we went to a restaurant. We had promised my daughter that today we would and we kept out promise. We went to Big Fish Grill in Woodinvile and I ordered a Bigfish Cobb Salad, but... no blue cheese, no bacon (it was probably not organic), no vinaigrette and no dressing. By the way, which oil di they use to grill the fish and seafood? Ghee? Ok, guee is fine. Although I may confess that I didn't feel I could trust the lady too much when she said ghee. She sounded more like trying to guess what I wanted to hear, than actually answering a question she really knew the answer for. So my half-decepated cobb salad ended up with lettuce, olives, tomatoes, eggs, mushrooms, avocado, grilled salmon, grilled scallops and bay shrimp, dressed with some lime and olive oil. Delish! And huge!

To drink I had water with a slice of lemon.

Second meal of Day 9

Meal 3

For the last meal, I got distracted with other chores at home and didn't have much time to prepare. So once again I had my eggplant stew, that gets spicier each day (and here is still some leftover!). This time though I have it with some avocado (to try to cool down the heat a bit) and a steak topped with leeks, tomatoes and green sweet peppers.

For drinking, beet-infused water. But I infused for so little time that it still tasted like plain water.

Third meal of Day 9

So again, a much better day today than yesterday. Now to day 10 and the end of the first third of the program!
